The 'Friends of Sherbrook' is a voluntary organisation currently made up of a handful of parents, carers, friends and staff. Over the years we have raised money which has been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children’s' education and the facilities in school in general. With the continued support of parents and staff, our we have always succeeded in its efforts!
Everyone can get involved if they want to, even if they only have a small amount of time available, we are always in need of volunteers – whether its helping out with organising a particular event, selling raffle tickets or even just helping to tidy away after an event. Your time will always be greatly appreciated!
If you are interested in finding out more about the 'Friends of Sherbrook', please speak directly to an active member or to someone in the school office. See below for up and coming events:-
Up Coming Events:
Here are some of our recent events:
Christmas shopping event - Friday 15th December.
The children came to the hall and chose presents for their families. They were wrapped by the helpers and Christmas tags were added. The children enjoyed shopping.
November 2017 - Bonfire Disco.
Each class made a 'Guy' for the event. It was a lovely disco and we raised a total of £170.
Bingo evening: 13th July 2017
Coffee and Cake afternoon: 16th June 2017
We had lots of cake donations ready for the event on Friday afternoon. It was lovely to see people coming to support the school, and enjoying a cup of tea/coffee with a slice of cake. Thank you to everyone that came.
Christmas Shopping Experience: - Dec 2016
We raised £400. The children enjoyed shopping for Christmas presents for their families and friends.
We are about much more than just fundraising. We also provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of our school.
