Spring 2:

This half term we have been studying the topic ‘Lets go travelling’. We have been learning about lots of different vehicles and using them to create art by rolling them in paint and printing. In cooking we have been tasting foods from around the world including Chinese and Indian food. In cooking we have also been learning lots of important skills such as spreading, cutting and mixing. We have been listening to the story ‘Bear on a bike’ and completing matching activities and finding pictures from the story.

We have been developing our scissor skills, fine motor control and have had lots of messy fun in art using paints, clay and a range of materials.

In maths, we have been learning about capacity. We started off by recognising heavy and light and moved on to completing lots of activities to support us to recognise full and empty.

In Forest Schools we have been learning all about our environment. We have been making food for the birds and used natural resources to complete a range of crafts.
