Mental Health and Wellbeing
Sherbrook Primary School is currently working to achieve the Mental Health & Wellbeing Award for Schools. Staff are undertaking a range of training opportunities to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support children and adults who need additional support in this area. At various point throughout the process you will be given the opportunity to give your opinion so that we can continue to improve the valuable work we are doing. Please look out for newsletters and coffee mornings inviting you of upcoming dates.
Sherbrook Primary School cares for the whole child. We like to work with parents and carers to ensure that children are happy at home and school.
If you think your child is worried or anxious about anything please get in touch with your child’s class teacher initially. School can support your child with 1:1 interventions or small group work. We have a detailed programme of support we can provide tailored to your child’s needs.
If you would like to find out any more information about helping your child with their mental health needs please take a look at the following web sites.
Don’t forget we are always here to listen.
On the 10th October 2018 Staff wore something yellow for mental health and wellbeing awareness day.
